Can you survive the horde of corpses? Come run the Corpse Crawl 2016 2 mile race at Graham Creek Nature Preserve on October 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Across various landscapes there will be zombies roaming the Preserve looking from brains (or flags).
Try and run the 2 mile obstacle course while keeping at least one brain (flag) when you cross the finish line.
Racers receive 2 flags but may purchase additional flags (up to 3) for $5 each.
One male and one female with a brain (flag) remaining will be selected to receive a zombie survival kit. Register by October 2 for $25, but after fees are $35.
Teams (3 or more) may register by October 2 for $20 per person but after for $30 per person.
Teams must have a minimum of 2 team members cross the finish line with a flag to be considered for the surviving team prize pack.
First 100 racers are guaranteed a Corpse Crawl shirt.
Door prizes will be given out after the race.
Due to course conditions, racers must have completed the 4th grade to be eligible to run. Register through www.active.com or bring your registrations and entry fees to City of Foley Graham Creek Interpretive Center, Foley, AL.
Volunteer corpses (already in costume) are welcome and receive a free shirt.
Corpses must pre-register through the Graham Creek Preserve by calling 251-923-4267. Proceeds benefit the Foley High School Cross Country Team and Foley’s Graham Creek Nature Preserve. Race waves will begin at 5:00 PM.
Each wave will be up to 75 racers with waves every 15 minutes.
Teams may strategize to complete the course, but will all run in the same wave.
Course will be the standard 2 mile with at least 6 structural obstacles along the way.
And don't forget about the hordes of corpses trying to steal your brains (flags)! Cross the finish line with at least one brain (flag) left to be in the running for a zombie survival kit! The course may be muddy so be prepared! Awards ceremony with door prizes to be conducted 6:15 PM.
Must be present at ceremony to receive prizes.
