The 1st annual Got Your 6(k) will take place October 15, 2016. This event, put on by Sheyenne Valley Backing the Badge, is designed to be a fun way to show support for area law enforcement. We hope to stand apart form other area runs by offering a unique experience; a 6K. On top of the abnormal length, we also hope to create an awesome environment with our "thin blue line" theme. With registration runners will recieve a thin blue line T-shirt, bracelet, and blue glowstick necklace. We hope to have tons of community participation and an overwhelming blue theme throughout the route! Prizes:>25 1st: $75 2nd: $50 3rd: $35 13-24 1st: $75 2nd: $50 3rd: $35 <13 Medals for all participants upon completion (while supplies last) Event details and schedule6K Run/Walk to start at 7:00pm Packet Pick-up available at the Youth Sports Complex (YSC) from 3:00-5:00pm and from 6:00-6:45pm. Please bring your registration info and ID to pick up your packet! Parking will be available in the Hanna Field/YSC parking lot (just south of Jefferson Elementary School).
Course will be through scenic NW Valley City. Map of proposed route is below. This will be a bit shorter than the milage stated as we will be cutting through Pioneer Park.
Weather this time of year can vary. Average temps are in the upper 50s for highs and upper 30s for lows. Please bring layers! As this is a night run we do ask all runners to wear their provided glowstick necklace for the safety of all participants.
