Join us in the fight to beat cancer! The DNT Fitness group is proud to host our 2016 Race for charity in honor of our dear friend and DNT Fitness member Charles T.
Coates who passed away of cancer in March 2016.
The 5K run/walk will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
This chipped 5K run and fun will benefit the Cancer Support Foundation, Inc.
When: Saturday, October 15, 2016, 9 AM – 11:30 AM Who: All ages welcomed Where: Jones Point Park, 125 Jones Point Drive Alexandria, VA Cost: $35 rate for all registrations (Ages 12 and older) made before October 2, 2016.
*Cost includes registration and T-Shirt.
Registrations after October 2nd may not be guaranteed a shirt.
Event details and scheduleThe 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9:00 am.
The course is out-and-back starting and finishing at Jones Point Park (125 Jones Point Park, Alexandria, VA) in the parking lot.
Once leaving the start line you will hang a left down South Washington Street until entering the onto the Mount Vernon trail to a turnaround point (stop sign just past Belle Haven Park) and back to the finish.
RACE PACKET INFORMATION: We will be providing all participants with a race bib that will record your time and allow all participants to view their results.
All participants that register prior to October 2nd will be guaranteed to receive a T-shirt during packet pick-up.
All registrations after October 2nd may be asked to pick up their T-shirts at a later time after (TBD) the race.
Packet Pick-up: Friday, October 14th from 5PM - 7PM at Golds Gym (931 Capital Centre Blvd, Boulevard at the Capital Centre, Largo, MD 20774)in the main lobby.
RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP will be from 7:00AM-8:00AM. Awards: The award ceremony will begin directly following the Run.
Awards given for the 5K will be: Top Overall 1st Place Male & Female Youngest participant Most mature participant Event Day Parking Details: The details about parking will be displayed here before the end of September.
